Skype for iPhone and BlackBerry

Skype application for the iPhone is official! As it is, according to the rumor earlier this week, its now official and quite available for free download on iTunes, App Store.

As with the desktop software for instant messaging, Skype calls to Skype are free and you can also chat with your contacts and friends with this app. As one might expect, it requires access to a wireless network fine. The audio quality is good, even when using WiFi which was a problem with some applications non-Skype Skype providing support. The iPhone version of Skype supports VoIP, chat, conference calls, but it’s a shame you will not be able to initate outgoing calls
