Logitec Japan announced the LHD-ED1000U2L, an average of 1 TB external hard drive with USB 2.0 and additional value of environmental friendliness.

This hard drive that case is not made of plastic made from corn, but has a tremendous power saving mode which will stop the rotation of the hard disk after 1 minute of inactivity (no access its data stored). This feature works on both PC and MAC, but only a PC powered by computer with the software allows a slight change in the power-saving feature and more time before stopping the rotation of the disk drive.
It will cost about 220 € in Japan.
