LG Viewty Smart GC900

Smart Viewty can be considered as the second generation of the very successful LG Viewty, five megapixel camera phone.

Like the Viewty, Viewty Smart focuses heavily on photography mobile, boasting a three-inch WVGA display and equipped with an eight megapixel camera with LED flash. Press release to follow after the jump.

LG Electronics, a global leader and innovator in mobile communication technologies, officially launched its new Smart Viewty (LG-GC900) the thinnest 8 megapixel camera phone on the market. With Intelligent Mode Shot a first for a camera phone, the Viewty Smart, it is easy to take beautiful photos as it intuitively and automatically analyzes the environment and adjusts the camera settings accordingly

Viewty Smart boasts improvements to both its software as well as its hardware:

* Incorporating LG’s new 3D User Interface with extra features including an onscreen selector dial that makes switching to camera mode quicker and easier
* 60 percent higher resolution than the 5 megapixel Viewty, ideal for large prints
* Increased light sensitivity up to ISO 1600 and the LED flash keep details crisp and clear, even in dim lighting
* Razor-sharp 3.0-inch WVGA touchscreen compliments the Viewty Smart’s image output and is ideal for watching DivX or Xvid movies on-the-go
* Improved video capabilities, adding DVD-quality recording
* Viewty Smart is just 12.4 mm thick and weighs a mere 102g, making it the slimmest and most portable 8 megapixel phone on the market
