NTT Docomo, the largest telecommunications provider on the Japanese market is always good for some interesting solutions and innovative mobile. Take the smartphone we’ve seen in our Mobile World Congress 2010 objects that can be divided into two halves and can also be used independently.

Applications are unknown, but such innovations often lead to end products for consumers who are really useful. For example, GPS solutions, often used operationally to find your way around a new city, country, etc.. But there are also other applications that may become more interesting in the near future. For example, tracking objects or people.

During the MWC 2010 in Barcelona, NTT has demonstrated a new service, the so-called Imadoco research. When this service is used, it is possible to find people, eg children. This can be done directly in accordance with an order or periodically. The Special Kids phone that was demonstrated had a small rope that can be drawn. Once it is fired, a loud alarm is audible and the parent, in this case, receives an e-mail via the service Imadoco to advise that there is something wrong.

This technology, which is processed in the cell phone and service combined with Imadoco NTT, but you can of course also think of using this technology to locate (sports) clothing or other objects. NTT Docomo, at least shows they are progressive and innovative active on the Japanese market. [via letsgodigital]

In an official unveiling at the Games Developers Conference late in the U.S. (thank you Sony, a 2 hours from Nice Write-Up for me), the Company has officially launched the PlayStation Move ‘. Looking very similar to the Wii Remote and Nunchuck (nicknamed the ‘processor’), he claims to be far more accurate than its rival and work without any lag.

The whole system works via Bluetooth, communicating with the transition to a PlayStation Eye webcam. This has a distinct advantage over the Wii as the eye can also capture the voice of a player to allow the audio controls and to recognize their image in order to enable augmented reality experiences. Oh, and if you’re wondering what the ball is at the end, he called the “Light Sphere” and changes color to enhance the atmosphere. Think Philips Ambilight, but on a small – and in my opinion – pretty useless scale.

So how you stack them? Based on preliminary information, extremely well with the sensitivity and responsiveness of the movement drawing particular praise. This is courtesy of three axis gyro, three-axis accelerometer and terrestrial magnetic field sensor inside the controller and seems poised to make even the Wii MotionPlus to shame. Battery life? Sony has not said, but with built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery charging is convenient.

In addition, Sony said that this decision has little impact on system performance if “many of our existing franchises” will be backward compatible. Support is also strong with 36 developers and publishers have signed so far and more than 20 dedicated and sustained move other titles are expected before April 2011. A roadmap has been ambiguously described as “the end of 2010.

There are a number of alternatives to the undertaking or will soon be out though. CrunchGear compiled a list of seven alternatives that are either available or arrive sometime this year. There are actually eight Although Crunch Gear for legal reasons can not mention specifically the joojoo because of the Fusion Garage Crunchpad / break up last year. Rather than repeating the full list here, I’ll just mention a few of my favorites, which is located below.

First on the list is the ModBook is essentially a MacBook modded by another company in a form factor tablets. The price for the ModBook is $ 899, although you must provide your own MacBook unibody whose company hack up and make a tablet for you. The ModBook has a 13.1 inch screen, 120GB hard drive, camera, optical drive, support flash and runs OS X Although there is no 3G, as Apple and IPAD not multi -touch.

The 3M Ergonomic Mouse (Ergo Mouse), is the latest in a long line of pointing devices designed to help reduce hand, wrist, elbow and arm pain associated with a traditional mouse. It aims to reduce the amount of twist in your wrist and removing pressure from the palm of your hand – and it is quite obvious how he is going to do about it.

If a normal mouse requires that you hold your hand flat on the desk, and twisting your wrist about 60 degrees from its natural position and leave the office, joystick mouse ERGO-like design allows you holding hands as close to its neutral position wrist and thumb in both straight and relaxed, fingers curled and the rest while with his heel to float above the desktop.

The buttons are positioned so that you do not bend the fingers of the neutral posture to achieve them, but obviously you still have to decline to press. However, when using a conventional mouse (at least when taking as I do), your fingers are almost always fell neutral posture your hand, and they must travel further to reach and operate the buttons / scroll wheel. This can cause pain finger, and even muscle spasm and limited mobility.

Giving an Ergo mouse go, the benefits of this more relaxed hand were immediately obvious to me that the reduction of pressure on the heel of my hand eased niggling pain I get there. Meanwhile, the more natural position of the wrist reduces the overall tension in the forearm area generally. Even my finger pain was reduced. Quite simply, this thing certainly works when it comes to reducing pain. Unfortunately, it is a little less accomplished when it comes to most other traits we look for in a good mouse / pointing device.

The most obvious because of how you hold the mouse Ergo, you must use your whole arm to move, making it difficult to use accurately. Thus, while a mouse of good will allow you to move around your office, to reduce the speed quickly, Ergo mouse requires a more cumbersome. Obviously, with a little practice you will become more accurate, but we almost always found a rapid motion that could bring us within an inch of where we aim and we would have the right to slow down zero in on it.
