Canon Featuring XH A1S and XH G1S, the new HD Cameras
Canon USA and Japan has just announced their 2 new HD cameras with the XH-XH A1S and G1S, with the exception of the XH G1S which feature the support of HD-SDI/SD-SDI output, SMTPE Timecode I/O and Genlock Input, those cameras are pretty much the same

Additional value is for an improvement of the 20x optical zoom, OIS (image stabilizer), DIGIC DV II our 2 prosumer HD cameras support both 60i, 30F and 24F in 1080 mode.
Unfortunately Canon still rely on HDV tape and this 27Mbps limitation to record video and whatever 30F and 24F is, we are not talking of 720p30 nor 720p24 here.
Price are to be expected around $3999 to $6999 USD.
