There was rumour of launching a next gen 2 with BlackBerry Storm on Verizon Wireless WiFi, some time ago, but it was considered by most as a joke at first.

However, sources have confirmed that the rumor was true. 2 The BlackBerry Storm will launch on Verizon WiFi, obviously, much greater connectivity and faster web browsing. Personally, I think the WiFi was the largest drop for the Storm, otherwise it would have been a much larger device with a lot more popularity. The sources also confirm that the next Storm, Storm 2 has a new screen technology, which aims to make typing easier. It is estimated that the Storm 2 will be launched around September, which makes you think – BlackBerry reduced cycle time of its first touchscreen device to less than one year, they must be in a hurry!
