3M Ergonomic Joystick Mouse

The 3M Ergonomic Mouse (Ergo Mouse), is the latest in a long line of pointing devices designed to help reduce hand, wrist, elbow and arm pain associated with a traditional mouse. It aims to reduce the amount of twist in your wrist and removing pressure from the palm of your hand – and it is quite obvious how he is going to do about it.

3M Ergonomic Mouse

If a normal mouse requires that you hold your hand flat on the desk, and twisting your wrist about 60 degrees from its natural position and leave the office, joystick mouse ERGO-like design allows you holding hands as close to its neutral position wrist and thumb in both straight and relaxed, fingers curled and the rest while with his heel to float above the desktop.

The buttons are positioned so that you do not bend the fingers of the neutral posture to achieve them, but obviously you still have to decline to press. However, when using a conventional mouse (at least when taking as I do), your fingers are almost always fell neutral posture your hand, and they must travel further to reach and operate the buttons / scroll wheel. This can cause pain finger, and even muscle spasm and limited mobility.

Giving an Ergo mouse go, the benefits of this more relaxed hand were immediately obvious to me that the reduction of pressure on the heel of my hand eased niggling pain I get there. Meanwhile, the more natural position of the wrist reduces the overall tension in the forearm area generally. Even my finger pain was reduced. Quite simply, this thing certainly works when it comes to reducing pain. Unfortunately, it is a little less accomplished when it comes to most other traits we look for in a good mouse / pointing device.

The most obvious because of how you hold the mouse Ergo, you must use your whole arm to move, making it difficult to use accurately. Thus, while a mouse of good will allow you to move around your office, to reduce the speed quickly, Ergo mouse requires a more cumbersome. Obviously, with a little practice you will become more accurate, but we almost always found a rapid motion that could bring us within an inch of where we aim and we would have the right to slow down zero in on it.
